Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone may have an answer for this, doesn`t matter what gear its in 3,4,5,6 it breaks down or maybe not really breaking down but it WILL NOT go any faster, any ideals what might be causing this??
Thanks alot.. is there a rev liniter on these somewhere someone said a speed sensor or its in the speedo iytself???
modifications are to date:
ThunderMAX EFI with the two Wideband 02 sensors, Screaming eagle air filter, Screaning Eagle roller rockers, S.E. Adjusatble pushrods, Vance and Hines True Dual Headers with Rinehart Performance Baffles slip ons, and custom map from Zippers , however which was mapped for a 96 by Zippers? This last one may be the route of the plm.
Something is definately wrong.I'd check the mapping, if that is right your heads aren't flowing right for some reason. Maybe the adjustable pushrods? I know nothing about them, I'm just throwing it out there. My SE Springer will bring the speedometer all the way around to about 135-140 before it's about done, and even then it doesn't run out of power but rather the motor redlines. The only mods I've done so far is vance and hines pipes and fuelpac. Try to get the bike on a dyno by someone that knows what they're doing, you'll probably find out then. You can pull a plug yourself and see what color it is, that will get youa baseline to start checking. Brown is good, White lean and Black rich. Good luck.
I hate to tell you guys but my 2000 95 incher will do a lot better than 110. It doesn't matter how fast the guy wants to go. A friggin $30,000 110 ci motorcycle should go over 110 mph. If you all are worried about how stupid it is to go that fast then why are we all spending our children's inheritance to get more hp and torque?

My father didn't buy his SE Ultra to go over 110 nor did he buy it for more HP and TQ. Hell, he sold his goldwing 1800 (which you know damn well can go faster and has more power then an SE Ultra) to get the SE Ultra for, not speed, but looks, style and characteristics. Just the other day when I was riding it to my house and he was following, when we got home he comment again just how "beautiful" the bike was going down the road.
Well I got a 10,000 dollar buell that will go 135 mph so after spending 30,000 plus and can`t get this PIG to do more than 119 mph something is WRONG???
