I have read all the folks that like the Harley Infotainment system and I actually like the in-dash concept. But IMHO the functionality of the GPS is seriously lacking on my 2018 FLHTKSEANV. So as much as I hate adding anything to the handlebars I have added my Garmin Road Tech Zumo 660 GPS using the Handlebar Mount Kit. Part Number 76000191B. Now I just need to pick up the 3.5mm Aux Input Kit Part Number 69200907 and my installation will be complete.
Yes I feel your pain. Harley should offer the new system as an upgrade to 2014 and up.
That would be great. My infotainment system does not recognize Arizona and most likely Alaska time zones. I complained while living in AZ and Tech Services said they were aware of the issue and had no plans to resolve it!
I have mine mounted on the inner fairing but I have the pre Rushmore fairing. All wires are behind the fairing.
A mount for the new fairing would be nice for guys like you wanting to use a stand alone unit
If its the Whistler mod you are asking about I would only have something similar to that 2015 picture. I no longer have my 09. But if you look to the lower left of the Whistler you can see that I drilled a hole in the fairing for the indicator light. I also had the Whistler speaker mounted behind the fairing. I removed the bezel form the Air gauge and used it when I mounted the Whistler so it had a stock appearance. While my 18 is a sweet ride, I miss my 09 and should never have moved up.
