If I purchased a Garmin Quest GPS Navigation System from, say Amazon for $367 is it the same thing that Harley sells for $600? Harley lists it as the Road Tech Quest GPS Navigation System.
Harley sells a Road Tech GPS Handlebar Mounting Kit for $80. Has anyone bought one of these and used the Garmin Quest with it? I'd be interested in saving around $230 if possible.
Sometimes Ebay stuff is "reconditioned". Could explain the lower price. Garmin's Quest is the same thing as the Harley Road Quest, except that Harley's has its dealerships preloaded in the database.
Harley GPS can be hooked up to your radio so you can hear it in the speakers. Garmins does not.
I have a Garmin streetpiolet 2720 used RAM mounts to install it on the handlebars. Both work great.
You can also buy a Garmin Nuvi and use it in car and bike, much smaller (travel with it) and use Ram mount. Garmin Zumo is waterproof and glove friendly Nuvi, which I believe also comes with handlebar mount.
