Default Drivers backrest

I am new to the dresser scene and have never had a backrest before. I need to know how to adjust it up and down. I dont know the brand but if you slide your hand down inside where the backrest goes into the seat it feels like there are 2 prongs going into some kind of framework in there. I have only had the bike a week and have not had the seat off yet. Anybody know how to do it?

On my 2005 Ultra, the backrest slides in the bracket in the seat. There is a level on the left side of the bike to adjust backrest back and forth. There is a button in the backrest to adjust up and down. The button is on the back of the rest under the cover.

Squeeze the 2 prongs together to move the backrest up or down or to remove it. There's not much room to get your hand in the seat and it's a fairly strong spring. You may want to remove it to see exactly how it works.

Exactly. There are three levels of height. I love mine.

Love mine too. With the backrest, cruise control and cruise boards all I need now
is an alarm clock to wake me when I get to where I'm going!

I've used some slip joint pliers to squeeze the springs, to get it out. Putting it back in is a lot easier. At least for me. Is there a joke there???
