Upgraded from 14 limited which was the best bike I ever owned to a 19 CVO limited. Bike handles, rides and runs terrific. Issue I have is the wireless Boom Audio 20S EVO headsets that came with it is the problem. I ride mostly 2 up and we use the intercom along with the CB while riding. Wind noise is a big problem. Radio cuts in and out constantly. I've read countless threads on the subject and all the issues with wind noise, but can't get help on getting settings correct. I've installed the latest software upgrades to the WHIM, Radio and the headsets. Push to talk is not an option because we would be broadcasting to everyone we ride with.
Dealer is no help and seems to know less about it than I do. I've spent hours on the phone with HD support and they told me today that I basically had too live with it. The cost of CVO's and then the motor company tells you It's the nature of the beast !
The 14 was wired and worked perfect, never had problems with wind noise using 3/4 helmets. I tried different wind socks and wind deflectors along with a bigger shield, nothing seems to help. At this point I'd go back to wired if I could, but no plug ins.
Has anyone had any luck getting these to work without the wind activating the microphones?
I have 2 20S sets, 10c, 30K, etc. Use them mainly for 2-up riding too, 3/4 helmets. Just on the outside chance you’re not already aware, make sure the mic is turned the right way, there’s a bump that you can feel through the foam cover that has to point forward if not all you will hear is wind noise..
Congrats on the new bike.

I had terrible problems with the wireless headsets running 2 up...initially...because, with EXTENSIVE adjustment to the MANY settings, I finally got it set nearly perfect. No wind noise, great VOX break-through yada-yada. The whole wireless system works GREAT but DOES require you the rider to get it set according to your riding style.
We ride 2up mostly and lots of interstate along with mountain twisties. If I can help with your setting let me know and I can share my settings...
Well i purchased my dream bike 2019 CVO Street Glide approx. 1 month ago. 3 days ago as i was backing it out i bumped into the corner of the garage. Thought it was the pipe. So wasnt to upset. Then on closer inspection saw that i had just clipped the handle on the right saddlegah handle. The tiny scratch can be buffed. The chip on the bottom corner cannot be. What a fricking idiot right? So does anyone know ifbthey make touch up fof these bikes? Just thought i would ask before i started looking! Been backing diff bikes out for 8 yrs here and never a scratch! Have a great day stay safe and thanks for any help!
