I am in the same camp as Scott. The issue is with the valve springs combined with shitty lifters. My buddy grenades his 110" when the lifters went south sending debris throughout the engine. I had him take it to the indy that use. They had 5 other CVO's that had been in the shop that year for various levels of lifter failure. If it were me I would have them replace the valve springs as Scott noted.

Update on lifter work----Had S&S lifters put in , new front and rear tires [Dunlop AE] new grips installed and 3 hole change completed with winter storage
Hope the weather here in New England changes soon--tired of fn winter, need some saddle time, have our hotels booked for 3 nights during bike week [Laconia] and 3 nights over 4th of July weekend

The lifters can be replaced from now until next year, but that will NOT eliminate the the root cause.
Spring pressure, and spring surge is what pummels the lifter axle, until that creates the lifter roller failure.
We clean/prep the heads, check valve/guide clearences, change the springs, perform a precision 5 angle valve job in our Van Norman seat and guide machine, using Serdi/Goodson/Mondello tooling, hand lap each and every valve, and reassemble with new valve seals......better than OEM at that point......we perform headwork, EVERY DAY, 10 hrs a day, at our shop.
Anyone that has been here, see's the shelves of heads.
Not made in China.

Not liking what I'm hearing. I was thinking about trading for a 2015 SG CVO 110. Sweet looking bike with 11K on it, but sounds like I might want to skip it anyway. Has everything I'm looking for and then some.
