It was like it's missing most the mids and bass. (I know it's a a bike, it's not going to have huge bass) This is sitting parked in my garage as it's winter. It's VERY loud, but that's it. The sound quality "to me" is not impressive. He played some songs that I never heard and cranked it. It was just ear bleeding loud to me. All you heard was the mid to high notes. The Boom II Sitting still sounds better to me. I'm going to go to the Audio guys meet-n-greet here by in June. I'm going to listen to some systems and get some ideas. Some of the other things... I didn't know until the install was done. You lose FM almost completely, because of the Sounds AMP in the fairing. (I still do use FM here/there). They won't honor your warranty if you use the Speed Control Volume.. I LOVE the Speed Control Volume. They say, if you are parked at a light and are jamming tunes, then take off quick and the SCV ramps the volume up, you will blow the speakers. Also, they claim there system is tuned for an iPhone streaming Amazon Prime Music, because they say that is the highest quality equipment and music service. Well maybe that's true, but I use an Android and Pandora. I'm not changing phones or music sources simply for a system in my bike. I don't know... I just was not impressed, and now I have a very sour taste in my mouth over all this. Maybe over the year of debating I set my expectation way to high. . If that system was $1500... I wouldn't be questioning it. But not at what i paid.

I am keeping the updated Boom Box GTS. But the Soundz dealer was nice enough to offer me a refund and swap the systems back out. Had I waited till spring, I don't think they would have. Bummed..!!
At one point I was interested in Soundz also so I went to their HQ in Daytona last year at bike week. They had numerous bikes set up for demo in the showroom and I thought the same thing as what you said here, it was loud as hell but did not sound good at all to me. They quoted me something like $3200 after they did the demo and I was high steppin like Hershel Walker up out of that place!

If only I could have went into a showroom like that and heard it. I would have done the same as you, because I was north of what they quoted you! Some of that inflated price is being felt in all audio equipment due to the supply chain, but still.. For what I paid, I had MUCH higher hopes.

before you do something else, join the group in WI....it may not turn out that you'll get a system put in there, that's a lot of work, but you'll get a great perspective on different options....sorry it didn't work out for you

Yep, that is the plan. Soundz dealer/installer swapped my systems back today. I need to ride over to the HD shop and get that new Boom GTS radio flashed to the Boom II equipment. Will be heading over to the MNG in June.
