How many of you guys upgraded your 117 to a bigger build? I currently have the FM 2-1-2 Jackpot Headpipe and Hi Roller Mufflers with tunner. I think if I pulled the trigger it would make the most sense to go with the FM 128. I also am only a few miles from FM. I'm not even sure if my local dealer would do a 131 using the FM components? Doubt it... I do have the OEM parts still too. Not sure if I'm going to do this, just thinking about it. Getting a nice bonus from work and thinking about what I might want to due with it. . I was also thinking about maybe upgrading the Boom II Audio as that system is garbage.
I'd pay them to do a cam/retune and spend the rest on road trips
That's always an option too. I was just reading an entire thread in the M8 forum about only doing a stage II and if they felt it was worth it. Consensus seems to be that doing a Stage II really wakes up the M8. Maybe I'll ask Fuelmoto about just doing that as well.

Youve probably seen my post in other threads. Had a 19 CVO with the HD 131, S&S MK 45 mufflers. For a warranty compliant set up it was really good. Little weak below about 2,800 rpms, but would pull hard to 6k. I swapped the header to a FM 2/1/2 still using the same mufflers and the sound change was awesome, maybe a little better on the butt dyno too.
Now on my 20 RGL with the FM 128, stock heads there is no comparison. Great power off the line and pulls hard to 6k. Ive recently traded the 20 for a 22 CVO RG so Im stuck deciding FM or HD. Possibly HD 131 for the next year or so and them do a cam swap. Hate to throw away a 2 year warranty like I did on the 20 but Ive had zero issues with the FM set up. Runs cooler, motor is quieter and still get great MPG on the highway.
If I lived where you did and had a 18 model, no question . FM!

I'm talking to them as we type... deciding on trying the stage II first and seeing what I think before jumping to the 128... Getting some costs so I can get an idea.

Different cams work best with different cubes... so you might have to buy another cam if you do the big bore down the road. Also, if they are doing the labor, why pay twice for some of the same work? Do to a big bore kit, they're going to have to take off all the same stuff they did on the cam swap. Do it once and be done.
