Different cams work best with different cubes... so you might have to buy another cam if you do the big bore down the road. Also, if they are doing the labor, why pay twice for some of the same work? Do to a big bore kit, they're going to have to take off all the same stuff they did on the cam swap. Do it once and be done.
Yes, very true.... I wasn't thinking about it from that standpoint...
Aside from the work... FM is booked out until June already...

If you can pull wrenches, scheduling for just a tune is going to be easier... Seeing that you already have a 117, and if doing a big bore yourself is intimidating, maybe just get an intake, exhaust, throttle body, and cam it. If a 114 is getting upper 120's TQ and mid 120's HP with those parts on it, maybe a 117 can get into the 130's which would be enough.

This was FM response to just doing the CAM question when I asked them
With a cam upgrade in a 114 or 117 with the right exhaust we see about 120hp and 130tq witch is very fun to ride and its about 25% more power than stock.
Depending on how you ride, your cam might not have as good of peak numbers, but it could have a flatter curve and more power down low. Did they ask you what kind of riding you do?

Are you saying in answer to my question that the HD Torque CAM is not the same as other manufactures? That I do understand. Still going to have FM do some work on my bike. Was just curious if that is true that the CVO 117 already comes with the HD Torque CAM.
