Hey there, hope everyone is doing well.
I have an 04' FLHTCSE and the radio has always sounded great. However, recently when I turn the volume up (not really that high) the sound starts breaking up really bad.
I'm just wondering if you would lean towards bad speakers, or a bad head unit? I'd like to get it all replaced but I can't afford to do it all at once. I'm wanting to replace whichever one gets my volume back first if possible.
Check your voltage. I had the same thing happening and after some research found out that the voltage was too high simply because the connections were a little loose on the battery. A simple free fix that got decent sound back on my system.
Let us know what you find and how you fixed it.
