Default M8 OEM Header

I want to purchase a used decat OEM Header from Flea bay, They are relativity inexpensive and I don't see the benefit of purchasing expensive aftermarket headers with little to no benefit. I am not sure if it will fit the VVT engine, what would I need to make this work?

Without checking part numbers on H-Ds parts web site I can not say for sure. Several have posted about using after market headers listed for non VVT M8s that fit.

the new vvt is a very close cousin to the prior M8s.....if it fit a prior m8, it will likely fit on the new engine.....we're talking exhaust parts

I know the Fullsac M8 head pipe for the M8 is a direct fit for the VVT engine. So I would believe any M8 head pipe would fit just fine.

Per my local dealer the "old" hi flow CVO exhaust off my 18 CVO will not fit. They said (I didn't confirm) there is a new part number for the VVT CVO high flow exhaust due to the shape difference in the cam housing area for the VVT. If that is correct it seems like there would be a different part # for the stock CVO exhaust as well. Again, that's just what they told me, I haven't confirmed through other dealers or elsewhere.

Sucks because the high flow CVO exhaust moved the catalytic converter from the header to the muffler.

HD oem pattern site lists the 2023 CVO and StreetGlide Special headers have the same part number.
This information is easily checked on the HD web site, parts, oem parts, model and year, sub section.
