Question 2023 CVO RG: Tall fella looking for advice

Hey folks! Been on the forum for a while and used to own a 2018 RGS. I swung by the dealer the other day and fell in love with a 2023 RG CVO in dark platinum. Sales dude says he can do $45k out the door and I'm seriously considering it.

I'm 6'3" and will need to make a few small adjustments to the bike if I do get it. I ran a HD TallBoy seat, 16" Yaffi Bars, and relocated footboards on my last bike and I could ride that sucker all day with no fatigue.

Here's a few questions for the owners of this bike:

1. Do you fellas think Mean City Cycles would be able to mod the stock CVO seat to move me back a few inches? I plan to buy another TallBoy for two up riding.
2. Can I use a back rest with the stock CVO seat?
3. Have they made any design changes to the footboard mounts? I plan to use the Kuryakyn relocators since they move the boards forward and out and inch.
4. Anyone use the HD TallBoy bars? On the website the description says 2" higher than stock. But I know the CVO has higher bars than the 2023 RG and RGS. I'm gonna need at least 14" bars, preferably 16". And I like the look of the stock bars. Don't want the pointy ones this time.

1. cant answer but Corbin makes seats for these new bikes.
2. no it will not take a back rest
3. they appear to be the same
4. the stock bars are nicely High, you might like them as is.

Hope this helps some

I've had Allen at Mean City cycles rework every OEM seat I have had for the past 15 ~ 16 years. He used the double memory foam and moved me back about two inches. I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam. Not only is the leg room better, but the seat I can sit on and ride all day. I've ridden many 800 mile days with his seats. He can also set you up higher an inch and that gives a little more leg room.

Not too far from NC but if you travel up to York Pa, you can save some coin.

Thanks for the heads up. But it’s used with 5k miles on it. I’d rather pay a little more to be the original owner and know how it was ridden from day one.

Thanks for the info. I’ll look into the Corbin seats. I’ll know pretty quickly if I like the bars stock or not.

I’ll definitely be paying them a visit. Hopefully they can make good adjustments to the stock CVO seat and the two up seat I choose.

George at Bad Boyz Cyclez modifies the stock seat, and can move you back. He can also add gel, he does good work. He also makes a back rest that works with stock seat.

I'm currently running his back rest, and really like it. I will soon be sending my seat out to him and the pad for my chopped tour pack.

Its best to call as its not on his web site yet, plus you can tell him exactly what you're looking for. Bad Boyz

Being 6'3" myself....

I've used the Kury floorboard relocation kit. It's OK. Do a bit of reading on TallBoyCycles.com. I Put them on my RKS and am MORE than pleased. Plenty of room to stretch and no more leg cramps.

for Handlebar choices, check out https://hillcountrycustomcycles.com. Lots of options for bars and customer service is great for questions.
