Okay how many are experiencing the dreaded limp mode symptom?
My bike only has 3500 miles on it and went into town and it went limp mode right in the middle of an intersection! Had it towed to the nearest dealership and the next day they told me it needed a whole new throttle body because the TPS isnt replaceable! It's been three weeks my $50k bike has been sitting in their storage area waiting for a backorder part. No clue when one will be available. They don't allow loaner bikes so now I'm screwed right into the best riding season. Pissed. Anyone else have their newer cvo in the shop?

You are a patient man. Not only does your bike have low miles, but this was also a safety issue as it happened in traffic. First, confirm the diagnosis.
Ask the dealer for the exact diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that were stored.
Ask whether they performed connector, wiring harness, and power/ground checks before condemning the throttle body.
Request a copy of the repair order and technician notes.
Then
Contact Harley-Davidson Customer Support
Reach out directly to Harley-Davidson Customer Support.
Explain that the motorcycle became disabled in traffic with very low mileage and that the replacement part is on indefinite backorder.
Ask whether they can expedite the part, locate one in dealer inventory elsewhere, or offer goodwill assistance.
Ask the dealer to perform a nationwide parts search
Sometimes a part exists at another dealer but isn't visible through normal inventory channels.
Awesome advice and thank you for your quick reply.
I waited many years to aquire a Harley of this stature and thought it would be my last bike for riding, boy was I wrong! I'm old school and always liked the anti-technology they have stuffed into these bikes, but what an awesome riding bike, smooth, powerful and surprisingly agile! Again thanks for the advice and I'll post back here of the updates.
Got a call from the dealership and the factory had a part expedited overnight, today they're having an event so looks like Tuesday I'll have my bike back. Hopefully no more problems, but I still can't shake the feeling that it'll do it again or something else. Will let you know.

hopefully their diagnosis was the correct fix..but it sounds eerily similar to the dreaded ignition coil wire harness failures that so many have experienced..myself several times on two of these new models..as stated above..run that by them just to make sure they at least considered that ... if not, carry a spare pair of underwear in your saddlebag..I should have during times mine failed in really bad situations

They got the Bike back to me yesterday and I took it on a shake down run. Ran like before but still have that ugly *** feeling it could do that again. I know about the coil wire also, that may be next. The factory should have fixed these defects before letting us ride them into a possible fatality situation. Pretty crazy they had to replace the entire throttle body for a sensor. I say BRING BACK THE CABLE!
I had a throttle sensor go bad as well, mine at about 6,000 miles. Same story, going to take 4 months to get a part, then surprise - it's here. I never experienced the "limp mode" you described, but was getting frequent check engine lights. Disappointed in Harley for the quality control gaps. My current issue is the Homelink turns off every so often. Luckily the dealer shared the only thing that they found to fix it - remove the main fuse and plug it back in (power on, remove, power off, replace). I like that I can fix that myself, but maybe hire a software engineer that can figure that out.

Thanks for your input to this problem on our bikes, I'm now wondering how many and which bikes this will effect. I remember I did have some weird hard throttle starts that kinda burped and then it took off. And now check engine light or codes stored, THAT'S a big problem in of its self. I really like how Harley got this bike to feel on the road and especially in the twisties but my concern is how much or too much technology was implemented. Harleys two year warranty might not be enough.
Thanks again and ride like ya stole it!
