Guys I just picked up my new 08 springer. My question is how can I tell what # my bike is out of the 2,500 to be made? Thanks for any help. ( 144 miles so far engine is ok I am worried about some of the problems I have read about, I hope it stays good?? )
Was wondering that myself
Have mine now about 1 month with 1030 miles on it and so far so good
It started leaking at the base of the jugs around 200 miles but has stopped since the last 100 miles (hope it stays that way)
My gas gauge (left side tank) has stopped working, it started out indicating half of the amount, then would work on / off and now finally stopped altogether; since there is a miles left to empty on the speedo no big deal
The dealer indicated those gauges have been a problem and are back ordered
Otherwise the bike is a blast to ride and really hugs the corners
P.S. Don't forget first service at 500 vs. 1000 miles due to the springer front end
according to my dealer, there is no more 500 mile springer service....so just bring it in for the 1000mi....
I've got 1800 on mine now and no leaks........[8D]
