2005 S/E Electra Glide engine miss
I have a 2005 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide that has had a mostly intermitant engine miss since 400 miles. The cycle will run extraordinary well and then will develop a sluggish type miss at all speeds and gears. The throttle will no longer have the "crisp" response and almost sounds like one of the V-Twin Japanese cycles. At a steady 2200 - 2500 rpms there will be excessive "popping" through the exhaust. The cycle did this before I had a Power Commander installed. I have Thunder Header slip-onsbut the same condition occured when a dealer put on other pipes. Three dealers have spent countless hours on it and at times it will go back to running great. The last time it stayed in the shop 4 weeks and they traced the electronic wiring and replaced the computer. It ran fantastic for 900 miles and then the condition came back. Currently, the cycle has 6600 miles. Very frustrating. Any ideas? Someone suggested a coil or fuel pressure valve/sensor.
