Default Proformance Headache

I have a 2007 FXDSE (Screamin Eagle Dyna) with the 110" engine, I recently had the Cobra speedster slash cut pipes, Cobra FI2000R tuner, and the K&N air filter upgrade installed. My question is this, on the dyno my bike is only generating about103 rear wheel horse power, and about 114 foot pounds of torque, and it seams to be running very rich, my fuel milage went from around 50 mpg down to about 25-30mpg, is this normal, what else can be done, my dealer/shop says all of the dyno numbers are a spot on for prefect match, What gives?
I have had my bike on three different dynos and everyone seems to come up with close to the same settings, however there is another dealer in my area that specializes in high proformance dyno tune (ex: drag bikes) I am seriously thinking about letting them have a go at my tuner and see what they have to say.
Also I have been wondering if there are any proformance coils/ignition that I can install on my bike.

Default RE: Proformance Headache

get rid of the duals... and get a good 2:1 ie: rb racing l.s.r.- d&d fatcat/boarzilla etc.
you'll be amazed....

I don't know anything about the Cobra exhaust system, but would assume the fuel management device is a fuel only "box". Have you pulled your plugs and looked at them? Fuel milage with a good tune, from a competent tuner, and a device like a PCIII, SERT, where both fuel and timing can be set according to throttle position, etc, should result in 35-40 mpg. Sounds to me like your device is just dumping a lot of fuel in there to get the power, a condition that can cause problems, just like running one too lean (factory settings).

The hp/tq numbers you report are really quite good for a B motor, IF you aren't on a "Happy Dyno".

I personally do not think fuel only management devices are a good idea. Your ignition is fine...don't start messing with that as it is not necessary. The 110 is a TQ motor, not a HP motor...the cams are designed to come in relatively early, but fade after about 4500 rpm. If you are looking for more HP, you're going to have to change cams, but keep in mind the TQ is going to come in later in most cases if you do so. Max HP is only produced at max rpm...is that your riding style?. Unless you are drag racing the bike, or running stop light to stop light WFO, don't worry so much about the HP, and be more concerned about the TQ...that's seat of the pants.
