02FXDWG3: It has a stage one with VH 2 into one pipes. I took off the headlight fairing and put on a Rick Doss frenched headlight. I changed over to Amsoil in motor and primary and use Redline Heavy Shockproof in the tranny. Currently looking for an effective oil cooler I can install without removing the bottom fairing.
I added one more thing and that is a Harley combination speedometer/Tachometer. It is almost unbelievable that H-D does not put tachs on all their bikes.
Sounds like you're loading her up with all kinds of goodies. I was wondering how a Corbin might look on the DWG3...I saw an awesome oil cooler that was in the shape of an "A". It goes on the front of the bike and follws the sames lines as the downtubes; looks awesome and be prepared to spend some dinero...about 300.
I had an 04 black Fatboy before this bike; this is really starting to grow on me. Believe it or not I still haven't ridden the thing because I bought it during the winter and I'm not going to take it out until late April. The bike is stock with a few things like the bobtail chrome rack and Harley's LED rear blinker combo's.
I was also thinking about that tach...I had one on the Fatty and I loved it. I'm thinking about an Arlen Ness Oil pressure gage next week.
Did the bike have a noticible increase in HP with the Vance & Hines?
I think just about any seat looks better than that grey one. I will checkout that oil cooler. I only got mine last August and am also waiting for the nice weather. Its been a long winter up here in this frozen waste land. I live a mile from the Idaho border in Canada. On the VH pipes they say the 2into1 are the best for performance but for looks I would have the VH longshot staggered. I know this bike has a stage one, but in the previous owners papers I have there was a quote for a cam, racing ignition, carb and Steves head magic(whatever that is) for $1800, but I do not know if it was actually done. Everybody I ride with says it is to fast for just a stage one. I am going to put it on a Dyno when I get down to Spokane, Wash and they can tell me if anything was done. Anyway take care. PS My next favorite Harley is the 2003 screaming eagle deuce. I love that bike even though the softails do not handle as well as the Dyna. I would buy one if my wife would let me, but it took 5 years to talk her into this one. She calls it my girlfreind. Ha
