Great post...congrats on the great gift! Funny, my wife saw the
2008 FXDSE2 on center stage at our Roanoke Harley Stealer and made me buy it because she loved the Rootbeer-Brown and Gold colors. I had it bought in 20 minutes...she then turned around and went up the street 3 miles to a Honda Dealer and bought a 2008 Shoebox car, I think it is the CVR or somethibng similar...costs of both were within $50! Mine is #853 Massachusetts.
I have what I think is an oil issue.
I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has experienced the same with their bike.
I have in 1100 miles used about 1/2 to 3/4 of a quart. Harley tells me that 1qt in 1000 miles is considered normal. I am in the process of getting them to change there opinion.
The have performed the campaign and they replace valve seals on both heads.
I hope I don't have to get my lawyer involved in this. But I am not letting this slide.
What kind of oil usage do you see?
