the factory exhaust can be easily modified for performance and sound. you can replace stock baffles with new ones. example vance and hines. cost around$50. i went with vance and hines baffles and picked up 4hp. sound like great also.
Rinehart with 2 inch bore...race tuner...window-crackin deep throaty sound. \\; Sounds like a beauty pagent model smokin 10 packs a day for 20 years
I found a set of 2002 RK mufflers- put them on and it helped with the sound quite a lot. Then added V&\\;H true Duals and the SE air cleaner. Made it a whole new scoot. I have now swapped the RK muffs for the V&\\;H Slash cuts. Sound improved and so did the torque curve.

2007 SE Ultra BTW..
Hi all,  \\; This should get things going. A Street Glide guy on the CVO page. Iâm asking because the 3 guys I know with CVOâs did pipes before the bikes were picked up. This is the deal\\; I just got did of my RK 95â cams, heads, 2 into 1 and all the good stuff. Iâm done with all the noise and looking for a little more quiet exhaust now as my departure time of 4:30am to work. What I want to do is put a set of S/E mufflers from a 06â S/E 103 Ultra on my 96â SG for a little more sound and I hope performance. My other choice is a set of V&\\;H slash cuts from the old RK. I donât mind the bark once Iâm going but the startup needs to be quieter for the mornings. Can I get a recommendation on the S/E mufflers or the V&\\;H? I can put them on and test, but I never heard the S/E mufflers. Any help would be great. The S/E were given to me freeâŚ
Stock exhaust is quiet. \\; \\; You STILL new some type of fuel adder (SERT/Power Commander) with the stock setup. \\;
 \\;
If you want a louder one, but not real loud, all of the aftermarket companies offer some type of quiet baffle option.
Anyone tried the Thunder City Baffles in the S/E stock slip ons?? \\; I am looking for a deeper sound, but not too loud.
