For the last couple of years I have been hoping that CVO would come out with a FLTRSE and this year they came through. Picked out the Stardust Silver and am in search of acquiring one but at the same time battling with pulling the trigger because of the large outlay of benjamin's.....vs trying to find an FLTRSEI2 and riding it for a year or 2 and then looking for a used FLTRSE. Any thoughts, advise - pros & cons
Love the bike, saw one last weekend at the demo rides......also like what they did with the SE Ultra
It seems to me that the RG guys hang on to their bikes for quite awhile. You rarely see alot of FLTRSE's for sale, unlike the SE Ultra's. I was gonna say wait a bit and you could pick up a used one... but I'm not so sure... That stardust silver is wikid hahd!
Im a non-CVO owner but I will stick my two cents in on this for what it's worth. If you can swing the cash to buy an '09 CVO RG and you plan on hanging onto it for the long haul, I'd say go for it. They are truly sweet bikes and if you were to trick out a base RG with everything that the CVO has on it, you'd be looking at the same amount of money. In my parts RG's are pretty rare and the CVO would be that much more special....Good luck.
PS. The silver is an awesome looking ride.
Close your eyes and pisture yourself on the bike you really want to be on. Open your eyes and then go out and make it happen. Then tomorrow you won't have to close your eyes, you will be living your dream. Go get you new FLTRSE after you open your eyes up!!! FXDSE2
Buy it.
I've been kicking myself since passing on buying the '05 SE Electra Glide I fell in love with. STILL waiting for the factory to make a new one (or an SE Street Glide). Money is transient, regrets are eternal.
Puzzled why are you looking to sell yours, that thing looks wicked...
FLTR's are few and far in between anywhere I think. You either love them or hate them, either way everyones looking at it. Nevermind a SE version in SILVER. If we get some in the dealership I work at im buying one! If you have the money and or can swing the payment I would do it because those who have a FLTR usually dont let them go so that right there tells you something. You can find a SE Dresser anywhere, over produced, to many of them around! Why Be Compliant?....Be Defiant!
