Saw a SERG today at the dealer, wow, that's alot of orange. Overall a nice bike, but I won't trade my 04 RG for anything. Set up just they way I like it. While looking over the SERG, I noticed the paint was not all that. Serious orange peel going on at the fender area. The metallic flake does look nice on the outer and inner fairing. Too much chrome for my taste, but I would not turn it down if gifted.
HI all I got to demo ride that same bike at the 105th .It ride as nice as it looks , had alot of people on the street looking at the bike while driving by. If I could afford another bike , hands down thats the one SE I would buy. Driving it will make you want one bad.
I really like the headlight set up.... Plastic cover is gone.... However, interested to see how it holds up to some serious riding and bugs.... clean up will be a chore... Still it looks great..
Awwww c'mon...why did you have to go an post those pictures? I just want to cry 'cause I want one sooooo bad.
Congrats though on an incredibly beautiful bike. I'm with you on paying more than MSRP though. Sometimes, you just need to suck it up and open the wallet.

I demo'd the CVO RG at the 105th too. The torque is amazing, but the suspension was real stiff. I rode the same course later on a Rocker C and it felt much more manageable. Is that typical with this RG, or with the CVO RG? I'm riding an '07 Street Glide now, and I called my wife after riding the RG telling her I was ready to trade up - she was cool with that until she heard the numbers....
Enjoy it, I think the orange/black is by far the sweetest color combination of the three.
Can you let me know how you get along on the slip on mufflers. I have been told, any you put on will not change the sound, due to the catalytic converter on the RG SE being in front of the mufflers. My dealership told me this after installing some on their first one last week. I just wonder if it is true and if so, what one will have to do to get sound from this beast.
I am seriously considering the Yellow since I was too late on the orange. They have one coming in Oct 15th.
I realy like the orange and black color. The new bags and larger tire realy makes it look like a custom. How is the painted inner fairing on your eye's while driving?
I have the 2001 blue SERG and am more than happy with it and have it customized like I want it. Maybe in a few years I will see about picking up a nice used 2009 as a second bike.
