Default Kit # for Product Notice 0905 CVO 110 HEADS

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone's well and riding as much as possible. Wish I could say the same for myself.

I need the Kit# for the following:

Product Notice: 0905: PRD PGM: 07/08 CVO 110 HEADS

Its for my FLHTCUSE3, Graphite color heads, that use 1 quart of oil every 1,000 miles and get 37mpg.

---

Here's why I'm asking for the Kit #...

After I got the Product Enhancement Campaign letter on Aug 18, to replace the CVO 110 Heads, I called the Dealer, who claimed to have the kit.

I made an appointment and dropped my bike off.

Well, that was Sept 6:
first they got the kit,
then they didn't get to it for a week,
then the kit is the wrong color and a new one had to be ordered,
now the kit is on back order with a release date of Oct 3,
so it looks like I might get my bike back on Oct 11,,, maybe.

I'm losing confidence they'll do the job with the right kit.

I won't go into all the promises they've made, Service Dept says one thing, Parts Dept says something else, Owner complaining it takes at least 8 or more hours but can only bill for 6.

I asked for a loaner and they laughed, only I was serious.

I'm trying to remain calm, but my patience is getting thin and my riding skills are getting rusty.

Hope someone can help me with that Kit # so I can verify they got the right one.

Thanks for your time and effort,

Timba3

the kit part # should be 94675 for the 2008...How many miles do you have on the bike? We have done 5 in our shop and ALL have needed additional work...such as cylinders and pistons, as the gasket surfaces were out of spec and the cylinders were out of round. let me know if you need any addtl assistance.

hi scttgr8,

is the # just 94675 or 94675-08?

( looked up 94675 on h-d.com and it's not the 110 head kit )

got 4,000 miles on the bike, 7 year warranty.

you're scaring me with your additional work comment.

after they remove the heads, i'll ask them to verify cylinders and pistons meet specifications!

is sleeve slippage asy to spot?

even if i ask them to check this stuff, it'd be so easy for them to not bother and blow me off, saying all is well.

thanks so much for your input!

The '09 SEUC has 3100 miles no leaks...
The '07 FXDSE has 3040 miles and back cyl is leaking at heads.
Going to the shop next week with it.

Default 07 flhtcuse

Came home yesterday from the Myrtle Beach rally with my bike in the back my truck. Something happened in the primary and from looking in from the derby cover it looks like the chain go on the stator cover. I'm so mad at the bike I can't bring myself to work on it. Had to come all the way back home and get my truck. Left out last Tuesday and leaked oil out of the head for 300 miles. Had to put rags on the bottom of the engine to keep it from running on the pipes. Had never leaked before. Talked to a guy at the motel that has the new heads and there making a lot of noise. Before he let out Sunday his had started leaking again. The guy riding with him was on a regular 08 because his 07 had given him so much trouble, Harley bought it back. I got rid of a 97 ultra that never gave any trouble and bought this oil leaking (when it's running) heat monster.

The recall kit part # is 94675 or 94676 for the 08s. It is not a dash anything
