Modifying an 09 SE RdGlide?
To start off I'm new to this forum but, am strongly considering Hopping my new Ride for this year and I'm wandering what would be the general thought for now. Considering Exhaust, air flow, and Tuner. Also heads and cams. I plan to leave the bore alone. ??? What are we looking at that would pass emissions , so far here in New Jersey we don't get anything stuck into our exhaust at the Motor Vehic. Inspection Station. Have Ideas but always looking for input. Thanks for your time! Rodney
welcome!
where in NJ are you????
I'm in the Atlantic City area.
first of all....
you might want to check over at CVOharley.com......
as far as exhaust goes, from reading over at the CVO forum, most guys are removing the catalitic converter from the stock exhaust and also removing the stock baffles and installing Fullsac baffles.
you already have a nice open air filter, so I would leave that alone.
for a tuner you have many choices, you're going to have to decide what your requirements will be, if you're planning heads and cams in the future, you might want to consider either the Screamin' eagle super tuner or the TTS MasterTune.
I would get the TTS, but it's your decision.

there have recently been some new ideas about making power with these motors...best bang for the buck is: 1. a slightly oversize intake valve with proper valve job, 2. mill the heads .020" for a little more comp, 3. thin head gasket, 4. a good midrange cam, 5. and of course exhaust, air cleaner, and an individual cylinder/custom ignition map dyno tune
