I just finished installing the 1 1/4" WideGlide handlebars on my '07 FXSTSSE.
everything works great and they feel awesome!
The only thing that bothers me a little is the length of the throttle/ Idle cables.
I ordered the same length cables that a WideGlide/softail Custom/ X-Bones have, 32.5" and I feel that they could be about 4" longer to look just right.
the throttle works fine with the length that I have now..
here are a couple of quick pics I took with my cellphone..
Deuce do you remember what parts and where you got them from for your springer.I cant find the bars to put apes on mine.
they are stock '06 HD Wide Glide bars, the only other thing I had to replace, aside from the throttle/ idle cables and clutch line, was the clutch master cylinder, I ordered an '09 FXSTSSE clutch master cylinder. (it was redesigned in '09)
Been wanting to change my stock bars, BUT with the speedo and tach mounted to the bars, I am having problems finding the proper parts to change that around (the FXDSE bars have the gauge buckets welded to the bars).
