I am getting a 2010 CVO Street Glide, soon I hope. What improvements should I do? AC - True Duals (I dont think any one makes these yet?) or Slip ons (I like Rineharts) - Cams, ect....? Since I am new to 110's I need ya'lls help? Any suggestions will be helpfull........ Thanks!!
If it was me?... I'd go Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1, Dyno Tune with a SERT., and Harley's Scream-n-Eagle Heavy Breather! A Taller Windsheild, standard height, and a Power Booster on that Stereo with some 6.5 Speakers.Probably another $2500. or $3000 total investment. But thats just me.Also if you want... I,d put a Bitch-n set of Wheels and Tires on that thing too! 21-3.5 up front and 17-6.25 on the rear with a 200 mm. tire. That would have the total bill racked up to about $8,000.00 buck-olas! But thats just me. and don't forget the matching Rotors, front and rear. I would hold of on the cams, for now.
Getting the same bike same color (read message in other thread) love the blue, saw the rum... dark brown... gag.... anyway.
I am looking at Python pipes, Had them on my 08 street glide,
Race tuner, not to sure on the air cleaner yet. I like to ride all the time... including in the rain... sometimes the snow...(yes it has happened.) could care less about the radio.
a taller sissy bar no pad and I am going to take a stealth lugage rack and custom weld it to the standard size sissy bar and then have that replated.
Going to get rid of the painted beer cans and also the piece just above that and replace with chrome.
Repaint the inner fairing to match the outer fairing.
Put the stealth hand grips on.
Replacing all the foot boards and pegs with the streamliner(standard streetglide).
Oh and the painted saddle bag latches have to go to chrome.
and last but not least .... the ugly mirrors have got to go!!!!
about $2500 I think....
Only concern I have is scraping the saddlebags when I turn I had a bad habit of doing that on the 08 streetglide.... could scrape both the left and right floor boards and with the extend saddle bags... I just might wear a hole in them... (yes I know they have skid plates)
I purchased mine saturday, I am having Fat Cat 2 into 1 with the phantoom pipe and the SE259E cam and the heavy breather air cleaner installed. I am being told this combo will be exellent

No, I am having the phantoom(fake) pipe for the left side, Plus I bought the slash cut so it will form with the back angle of the bag. D&D has a picture of this pipe on a bagger on the web site and it looks good. Iam hoping it turns out. My dealer is highly recommending them and I trust the guys, they have never directed me wrong so w will see.
... 1st thing i'd do w/ an FLHXSE1 is put a couple thousand miles worth of dust on the backs of those stretched bags & introduce her to Montana.
..... but that's just me. Enjoy the new ride, man.
