Default noise in primary

2010 cvo streetglide. I have a noise in my primary around my left toe doesn't do it all the time, like when I take it to a HD dealer to hear it. Sound resembles small ball lean hammer pecking on primary cover. Don't always do it but when it does its embarrassing. Any suggestions out there.

I forgot to mention that the noise is only there at idle, but not all the time.

Do some searches for SE compensator. The noise is most likely the compensator assembly bottoming out under load at low rpm's until the bike gets moving. Mine does it too, drives me crazy. Not sure if your CVO has the SE compensator already from the factory. There was a thread a while back about the comp nut loose. Not sure on your scoot though. Dealership never hears it unfortunately, and it doesn't do it but about 5% of the time. Good luck...

Does this noise go away when you pullin the clutch. I have more of a noise growl in that area when the bike is hot. Goes away though as the clutch is pulled in.

When its actually making this noise,it makes it at idle even if the clutch is engaged or not.It doesnt matter if the bike is warmed up or not.For example ,i started it lastnight and it was making that noise,i even recorded it on my cell phone, but when i started it this morning to take it to the dealer ,you guessed it no noise.I guess ill just take it to HD and ask them to check the comp nut .The first time i took it to the dealer the tech told me it was the valves,i about laughed in his face but i held back. The sound is clearly coming from the primary.
