Hi everyone. My name is Rick and I live in Minnesota. Have been riding BMW's and Harley's for the last 30 years. Got tired on going warp two everywhere and sold my BMW K1300GT.
I just drove home my new 2011 cvo softail convertible. Reading the literature that was available before I bought the bike, it stated that only the immobilizer came on North America units and that the siren was optional. I decide to buy the siren and ordered the pager. I get home and am thinking this bike already has the siren. It sure makes a hell of a noise when I stand the bike up without having the fob with me. Can anyone tell me if this is in fact the smart security siren that the pager I have ordered will work with?
By the way, this bike is way better looking than the pictures. I got the maple colored one, and will post some pictures in near future.
Rick
Most likely the bike has the smart siren which is the audible chirp you are hearing. However, in order for it work with the paging unit you will need the Smart Siren II. To confirm that you don't already have this is easy...the Smart Siren II has a black antenna wire sticking out of it for pager transmitting. The plain Smart Siren has no antenna wire.
Just found out it does NOT have the antenna wire coming off it. Guess I made the right decision to buy the smart security siren 11 after all. Probably will be a winter project.

It takes about 5 minutes to install it.....you better find something else to do
