I installed the Smart Siren II on my '15 SGS this spring and that unit had the antenna for the pager. Noticed on my new '17 CVO, the Siren doesn't have the antenna, so I'm assuming no pager use. The HD site doesn't even show the unit on my new bike in the current parts catalog. When I Google the part number off the new bikes siren, it always goes back a few yrs.
Do all the CVO's come equipped with the older version siren? Seems very odd
This is the new Smart Siren II with the antenna, the new bike doesn't have that wire
I agree...just yesterday I had my pager married to my 16 CVO Limited. I seems like they would put the II on the bike. That is part #68328-06A @ $94.95...the tech did not know it at first...When he married the bike to the pager...another bike in the shop responded and he thought everything was alright....They finally figured out that I needed the II installed...HD is trying to save some $$$on that...
I added the Alarm II with pager to my 2012 CVO, 3 years ago. I think all CVO's should come with it, as it takes a lot of movement to make the stock alarm system activate, and also because of the pager has much more sensitivity as well as very good effectiveness over distance.
I also added the Xena 15, disc lock, which is very sensitive and gives a loud alarm.
I mentioned this to my salesman and parts guy today. Neither knew anything. I'm going to replace mine with my spare Smart II incase i ever want to add the pager function. Makes me wonder that since the non pager unit isn't shown in the last 2 yrs parts catalogs, if they aren't a bunch of NOS items left over being used?
I looked in a 2015 catalog**Battery powered pager #91660-06@$74.95...Rechargeable Pager #91672-07@$89.95...I don't know if it will work on a 2017...Mine is a 2016 CVO Limited...Works good...Good Luck to You...
