I think it will cost you more to take a stock bike and convert it to a CVO SE. My husband has spent way more money to make his bike CVO-like than it cost me to purchase my Convertible.
JMO - but pictures of CVO scooters simply do not do them justice. In pics, some look kind of tacky, but they all look great in person. Case-in-point, the 2012 in black & orange.
If your going to put a lot of money in your bike fixing it up you are a lot better off getting a CVO.
One of the misconceptions is if you buy a CVO you wont be spending a lot of money updating and or adding stuff. A lot of CVO owners still spend tons of money on their bikes changing them to their taste.
