Just wondering if anyone has one here and how much riding you do? I mainly ride to and from work 50 mile round trip and weekends 150 to 300 mile rides with my group.
Is this bike too much of a bar hopper kind of bike or are you able to put some miles on it when you go out riding?
I had a 2005 Springer (88" incher) and rode the miles that you posted pretty regular.
Daily work riden no problem. With riding w/ your group, you may have to take a stop at fill ups and stretch every now and then. Even still, most riding groups do that anyways.
Bonus, you have a 110" in that springer. And Most of the night mares regarding the earlier 110" were cured by the 2009 model year.
I got to ride one of these back in '09 for a couple hundred miles..... I gotta say that I was very impressed with how the front end handled... it did what you asked and stayed put in the rough stuff much better than I had expected it would have.... not a fan of the 110 though... found it to be very under-performing for the displacement.......... my 95 incher in the same chassis could spank it with ease whether he was on mine and I was on his or the other way around...... cool bike though....
Love mine. I only live 2 miles from work, but when I ride to work I wish it was 50 miles. 2 up I do not think 300 miles would be the ideal weekend bike, but riding single 300 miles weekend no problem. I bought a windshield because I thought I would enjoy it more on longer rides, but surprisingly I leave it off almost always. As far as the 110 its great. My brother in law has a '10 Fatboy and I have rode it several times and in my opinion there is a big difference in power. V&H pipes & Thunder-Max only power upgrades. Its really different and a lot of people look at it; only one year made like that. The FB I ride with has thousand$ in upgrades and hardly ever do people ask him anything about it.
Have a '09, also had a '07. Traded the 07, big mistake, ended up with the 09, will not make the mistake of parting with this one. 50 miles a piece of cake, 300 miles will require 1 fuel stop, so no big deal. Put a sissy bar and pack on for work ride(to carry what ever you need for work) and you should be ok. The 110's, like all the others need a little tuning, that's all! Not a good 2 up bike with stock seat, but that is easy to fix!

Yeah that,haha!......ain't too many stock 110's I can't run with.....good built 95 inch'r can run like stripe'd *** ape....'specially in the light'r bikes....110's CAN be force ta be rec'nd with....after a azzload of $$ been spent.....Bro-law's got the '07 Springer with the 21" wheel....Woods cams,D&D,ProTuner,some head mods.....now......THAT sumbitch'll git with the program.....
Like ta have Hillside 107 build on this Deuce......someday......maybe....
I have the 09 and love it (see my garage). It is a bar hopper, but that is what I wanted it for. The 110 runs great and is quiet with the stock pipes. I also have V&H slip-ons and they are pretty loud. It backfires more with the V&H on there. I have only put 150 miles on it at one time, it was easy riding.
The front end is perfect and handles great.
I second the sissy bar comment. You can take the nice big one piece HD bar and cut out the center brace and bend it to fit great.
The two up seat is not going to be liked by the lady.
Got a 2009 FXSTSSE and love the bike, smooth as silk, and handles very nicely. But I got it to go from watering hole to the next, when I ride, I am on my Ultra, just wish it was a smooth as the as my CVO springer
