I would rate it a 5 at best. My 09 SG with a PBR300X4, Polk DXi6500 components in the fairing and Polk DXi650 in the lowers out performed my CVO setup. The CVO setup is supposed to be 600 watts i believe it to be fuzzy math. Plus the wring for all that is a maze. Hell my fairng is a PITA to get off and on because HD mounts the amp facing front to back on top of the radio instead of side to side causing the main wire loom to be pushed up and rub on the back of the outer fairing making a simple windshield swap a 20 minute process. You loose bag space in the left bag for the amp there. If I thought for one split second I could get the damn thing out without so much trouble I would yank it and sell it for half price. Replacing it with a setup similar to what I had plus adding a PBR300X2 and some bag speakers to fill the holes. After which, I would have some spare change left and a 9 out of 10rating. My 2 FWIW.
Don't get me wrong I love my CVO ride and performance, but audio? Not so much.
sounds like u know what your talking about I'm looking to upgrade my 09 streetlide gsystem at home I have marantz pre-amp /ps audio amp and totem spkrs if you recognize the brands it gives you an idea of my appreciation for fidelity.Could you offer some suggestions for fairing speakers and a 4ch amp as I will probably get rears or lowers in the future Thanks man any help would be greatly appreciated since most of the threads on here related to this topic seem to be posted by people that are not really audiophiles

I do recognize those names I am also a bit old school. In my boat I run old RF Punch amps and subs with old coil crossovers. Yes I am a bit of an audiophile. The only thing I know for sure on this subject is we, as motorcyclist, tend to demand more from our audio then can realistically be accomplished in our enviroment. I may disapoint you when I say that after a certain point the quality gained is not worth the cost of such gain and that point is much lower in the motorcycle enviroment. That being said I judge my audio on how it sounds at highway speeds because this is where I do most of my ride listening. I have much higher end stuff in my car, house and garage because I can accomplish what I want in those enviroments and I don't have to deal with rain and wind. I do not sit at bike nights with my music blasting away. I was happy to see RF make a 4 channel amp to mount on top of the radio in a batwing fairing albeit 4 ohm. Now they have a 2 chanel 2ohm stable amp as well, thats more good news. It is my belief that I can install a system using the RF PBR300X4, Polk DXi6500 components in the fairing and Polk Dxi650 in the lowers and have a system that sounds every bit as good at 75mph as any comparably system from the big name bike specific manufacturers at substantially lower cost.
