'08 CVO Roadking battery swap
Bought the first battery for this bike, installed today. During installation, with keys/fob in my pocket, the alarm started screaming. Went ahead and suffered thru it, thought if I removed battery, alarm would cease, it did not. Several seconds after removal, the alarm finally stopped, and I went ahead with the job. Re-hooked cables correctly, turned ignition, and NOTHING! Checked new Big Crank (Deca), showing 14.4v. What the heck did I do? Checked all fuses, all good. Only thing that comes to my head, maybe I destroyed a relay...?? Any ideas? Thanks to all...

Just a first guess at the obvious -
Any idea on when you last changed the battery in your FOB? The reason your alarm sounded was because you removed power from the battery to the alarm - which is what it's supposed to do (like someone cutting the battery cable during an attempt to steal the bike). In other words, your alarm did not know the FOB was in your nearby pocket because the FOB was not linking and deactivating your alarm.
Try the other FOB, get a new battery (CR2032 I think), or do the left/right turn signal manual deactivation of the alarm procedure found in the Owner's Manual.
