I just picked up a 2010 SESG. It has the one piece slotted seat and I want to use a riders backrest. I have one from my 2008 FLHT. Do I just need an install kit? The mount looks close to what would fit on the new bike but not exactly
The backrest will fit I'm nut sure if the mounting hardwaew will fit or not but if you look up the part in your Harley parts catalog it shows the years they fit there is only two of them
I just switched from the old frame which was changed in 2009, to the new frame.
I had a mount for the old frame and backrest, but it wouldn't work in the new frame
style.
Then I was going to use my old backrest, with the squeeze type, it would work on the new frame, so I had to purchase a new one.
Mount.
The old rider backrest was $99, the new one is $199 for the same thing, they got us with another $HD! Hunerd dollars!!
