Default Preferred solenoid brands?

Wanna replace the old one on there, plus it's mount bracket is not a good 90* so she plunges in at a slight angle which causes some binding and occasional poor starter turn performance.

You experienced Shovel wrenches have a preferred brand? Preferably made in the US?

Current one I already flipped the pitted washer and used the other side, so a whole kit probably makes sense.

Used to buy from Mid Usa till they got a bit uptight about a dealer licence and nobody out here carries them. Wonder if they are still getting stuff from the same suppliers Midwest does, stuff use to be interchangeable between the two.

You have rig in the old style big relay between the battery & starter to get those to work which doesn't come with the kit. I've got one I haven't installed yet because of that. Don't remember your bike had that stock or not.

I am quite pleased with the starter lever set up.
Not only do you need the old style heavy duty relay, you need to use one of the small plastic relays to energize the heavy duty one because the contacts in the lever housing are NOT very big and cannot handle the current the big, old style starter relay draws when it is energized. It isn't a big deal to do and like I said, I am very happy with it's performance.
The wiring diagram with the starter lever shows what to do.
