Default shovelhead project

I've been trying to locate the correct inner primary for this project. The part number I need is 60411-79A. It's the inner primary with the 8 hole pattern to match the outer primary that I have. Been looking for a few weeks unsuccessfully. If i'm unable to get one is it possible to go with a newer style inner primary, 9 hole pattern, and get a new outer primary to match? It's a 1980 FLHP, 4 speed, primary belt drive, electric and kick start. The 8 hole inner primaries seem to be as scarce as hens teeth.

Thanks for your help

You can use an 8 hole outer on a 9 hole inner... I would get the cal products / Rivera primo inner.

Default Primary Belt Alignment

I just resolved problems with starter solenoid with help I got from another thread. I probably should have kept it in this thread. I now have a problem with the alignment of the primary belt. Just to let you know, this bike was a real basket case. I have been working on it for over a year now. I'm not a shovelhead guy, pretty much English bikes and a little knowledge of Ironhead Sportsters. A lot of work has been trial and error on this project but I'm getting pretty close. I think this is the last big hurdle, I hope. Anyway, this is the problem.
I measured 5/16" from a straight edge on the outside of the primary to the inside edge of the main drive pully. (where the outside edge of the belt would be)

I measured 1/2" from a straight edge on the outside of the primary to inside edge of clutch shell.

The clutch hub would have to be shimmed out 3/16", I don't think that's possible. The main drive pully can't go back any closer towards the rotor.
I'm assuming this was a conversion from primary chain drive to this belt drive setup.
How can I align the belt??

Hold the straight edge up against the motor pulley and see where it aligns ( or not ) with clutch basket, or as I do as I do on top the clutch basket tight against the ring gear then check the front pulley for shimming if needed. You can't shift the trans it sits where sits period.

You can pick up a short chunk of 1-1/2" alum or 1/8" flat bar at the hardware and cut to length to go across the tops of both pulleys if you don't have have a ground straight edge.

This is the way I measured, as you suggested.

The main drive pully is like 3/16" closer to the outside edge of the primary than the clutch shell. The clutch hub can't be moved out so the main drive pully would have to be moved back. It's already butted up to the rotor.
