I've been a harley owner for nearly 2 decades now and I do most of the work on my Evo...Even though the Evo is a descendant of the Shovel they are different. Don't need the "Drama ****". I am also a new owner of a Shovel and would like to learn about them and not deal with stupid sarcastic remarks. Keep that **** to yourself and stop messin with our minds....

See you in July John.... Thanx...

This is a public forum, not your private forum.

You don`t have to agree with everyone here, even if you are the only one who knows it all.

Unfortunately you experts won't tolerate any opinions who differ from theirs. I can tell by reading I have forgotten more about shovel motors than your experts know and am always happy to prove it. Just load em up and bring em out. I could teach a lot of folks on here about the misconceptions of the shovel motor, especially these types who have a one-size fits-all recipe. Building a motor with half-*** parts and without doing the math, well that's done in every hack shop in the Country. I would not let them lay a finger on my bike. I know the best shovel builders on the planet, if they were on here, you would say they don't know what they are talking about.

Don't get butt hurt because your shovel guru isn't as much an expert as he thinks.

By the way "not a mechanic" and Shovelhead do not belong in the same sentence.

I know the best shovel builders on the planet ... But do they know you? Sounds like a lot of "chest puffing" ... I sure don't know your abilities, proficiency nor experience, but to summarily dismiss ideas, suggestions and solutions without considering the advantages/dis-advantages serves no purposes other than limiting the "brain storming" which, in many cases leads to the resolution of problems. While I'm not an expert on the Shovel, I've had several down to the bare cases ... If I needed advice I'd surely consider members here, including John and "TwiZted"

the crew in this classic section and the evo section is the only place i go, and as owners and enthusiast enjoy a mutual respect for one another , and again as owners many have for decades work on machines they own, and are well aware of mistakes in description and procedure errors made by those posting, and are called out -

perhaps you could tone it down a bit No one cares what you say you know WHO you know and how many of the biggest dealers you have worked for as a couple week employee during sturgis -

yep NO one cares - try this for a change post up if you see some one reaching out and give an opinion -- then if its possible Dont take someones elses response as repute to yours

yours is yours - someone else has what they believe and let the general consensus play out its not a competition, its an information board by like minded guys who want to learn from others who have done what they have issue with

start over -
