the kick starter is locked up, what should be my first move? my brother and I bought this bike after it had been sitting for 30 years. I took the primary cover off and was able to turn the motor over by hand so i know its not seized .

Oil in the trans ? Put it in 2nd or 3rd gear with the spark plugs out and rock it back and forth real good to see if anything loosens up with the kicker. It doesn't the cover comes off to see what's going on.
