Thanks Tom, appreciate you pointing the extensions out.

I've been watching for footboard setups off of an '86-'99 FL soft tail. Haven't run across any yet.

Couldn't find any MoCo floorboard setups so with guidance from a forum ninja ordered the DNA setup, the option to swap pegs out vs. similar controls with one-piece pegs seemed like a potential benefit. Should keep me busy when the holidays give me some extra time.

Took a look at the stock setup and noticed the brake light switch. Ruh-Roh.... the DNA setup includes a master cylinder, but I don't see any provision for a brake light switch. Fingers crossed that there's one built in to the unit

Since the mid controls are going away, all that I need on the left side is a new primary cover inspection plate. And instead of pulling the primary apart, I'm going to slip a hack saw behind the inner primary and cut the shift rod, seems a lot simpler. Then plug the hole, replace the primary cover and I'm good.

But on the right side, it looks like a different story. There's a bracket that appears to be mounted to the trans and the engine case that holds the peg for the brake pedal and foot peg mount. Do I pull the bracket, or does it need to be there to keep the trans and motor cases happy with each other?

I've not seen a Master with a built in switch. The front yes.. The rear no... An in line pressure switch is used.. The forwards look nice.. heavy duty... Post up some pics when done. My 77 was converted to floor boards. Love em.. just like my Evo. I'll post up some pics later....

Ahh... thanks hotrod, figured as much. So I'll need two brake lines, each with length that will allow me to position the pressure switch near the original to take advantage of the wiring.

So remaining parts I need are pressure switch and tee, new inspection cover, additional hoses and the longer shift linkage.

The source for the controls thought that I might have to get a new kickstand setup as well, but couldn't tell me what I might need. So some uncertainty there.

Need get on it so everything is here when I have a few extra days near year end.

Very nice bike, hotrod. I would have preferred the floorboard setup but couldn't find any.

Your picture answers a question though. I simply remove the bracket spanning the trans and engine case, that removes all the mid-control clutter.

Thanks for posting.
