What's common wisdom on how many times you can shave those cases before you start running out of Meat?

the paper gasket is .020 james gaskets and its forgiving - the deck height of the piston is more important - even more when running big cams as you loose the angle - piston valve cut out to valve fitting the pistons machined area - the more you reduce the distance the valve moves to the top of the piston and hits at the very top not angled correctly - again you need experience screwing around with all the unintended consequences

I shattered the right side case on a 1991 80 evo. I got a used right side case from an 86. I mated them and looks like a perfect match. Rotating assembly is nice and smooth. Should I get it line honed?
