My ‘75 has a brand new battery and regulator, getting plenty of juice from the alternator, and 13.5-14.5 DCV to the end of the regulator wire.
The problem is that when conected to the battery, it shows little to no charge going in. The battery reads about 12.5 and doesn’t increase at all with throttle.
I replaced the regulator from another brand new one just in case. Battery load tests well. Stator is not grounding out (per manual procedure), and putting out 50+ ACV at idle and increases with throttle.
Bike otherwise runs great. I’ve checked all grounds and haven’t found a single problem.
could something in the wiring setup cause the juice from the regulator to bleed off and not fill the battery?
Running basic wire setup through circuit breaker. 3 position key switch. reregulator straight to battery positive. Thanks.
This is the current harness setup.

Reason: Adding photo
Unloaded.. ie unhooked from battery... means about nothing... The regulator Must put out Juice under load... Battery
Betting a New Regulator cures yer woes... Unless your procedure is amiss... or I misunderstand your method...
All I can say is make sure regulator ground is solid also there should be added grounding tab on under side regulator run heavy gauge wire direct to motor ground. If no success regulator bad. Good luck.
