Hey guys.
Look what followed me home. I happened to look at Craigslist 5 minutes after the guy posted for sale ad. I ran out of my office and drove to his house. According to the owner, he got a DUI years ago and the bike sat on his indoor porch. I gave him his asking price of $2,000 and we dug it out and loaded it up. It appears to be fairly complete but missing most of the controls. I got a wiring harness and battery for it and will check ignition setup. I'm going to check engine health and if needed, bring it to johnjzjz who did an awesome job with the engine from my 79 ElectraGlide.
This is the first shovelhead I've had with a S&S Super B. Thoughts?
Happy Thanksgiving.
Nick

Nice score. The B carb is a pice of cake. Definitely dump the stupid hyper charger (or whatever the call the BS piece on your carb) and make sure you have some type of baffle in those straight pipes so you are not losing ponies.
Looks i,e it is mostly there. Check you basic starting system to ensure it is not toast, add battery, change oil and see if it fires
Very cool, I recently picked up an 81 low rider myself. I've actually never got to play around with a b, mine has a e. They are simple designs, easy to tweak

It is definitely not a stock front end, but not sure exactly what it is. I've always wanted a springer, so may go in that direction but not sure yet. I'm also not sure about the tall ape hangers. Maybe a smaller set or something totally different.
