Default Dumb Question....

Got a line on an 80 FLT missing the engine, everything else is there. Can an EVO engine bolt up, or do I need a shovel crank case to mate to the primary and trans?

No Sweat.... BTDT
Needs a top motor mount... And an Evo is cheaper than a Shovelhead rebuild by Lots...

1979 through 1982 FLT had the same frame. 1983 (still Shovelhead) had the frame that carried forward for quite a while. I don't know the differences between the 79-82 and the 83 but it may have been the addition of side car brackets.

FLT frame evo should be a bolt in, those had lots of clearance and as mentioned you'll need an upper motor mount.
