Default 1967 FLH Kicker

Hi all - what color should the kick start arm be on a 1967 FLH - black or bare metal colored? I have seen both on allegedly "original" bikes but can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dealer installed/accessory catalog option up to at least 1971. I believe black is correct, I do not recall ever seeing bare metal, black or chrome. I could be wrong, but I think I am right. Fight me!!!!

66 and 67 are essentially the same bike and black is correct for mine.

Take a look at the pictures Johnz posted of the 1971 he restored. It has a kit from the MoCo accessory catalog that included new head pipes (or maybe just the rear pipe, he would know), super slick and rare as can be. So I know for sure it existed up to 1971, never heard of it after that. He had his judged by AMCA, they gave him a hard time but he proved it was correct for '71.

And still, black is the correct factory finish.
