the early outer cover and the door are different as well as the bearing end spacers butwe use to convert them as the left side clutch cable would always burn on the jug and when hot roding the engine the heavy clutch spring and clutches let us use the easy boy for the lever feel to be easier

Can i find this on the web?I once saw for sale a sidecar rig with an electric motor and drive gear on sidecar wheel,it looked like a good setup and they said it was a $1400 usd option.I was wondering if we're talking about the same thing here.

johnjzjz,

Question re the Andrews A2 for my '80-80: Is this a simple drop in or are there head/valve lift issues that need to be addressed?

Thanks for your help.

John

the engines of that time period if they have not been Professionally re done in a top end over haul and the valve guides replaced with the correct ones then the answer is no

what they did is they used longer valve guides so they could not use valve guide seals - a bean counter cost cutting idea < it did not work out in the end as the engines smoked at 15 ,000 miles - and on the internet some one has an original set of guides with 100,000 miles and it still don't smoke < yea Shure you do

its the valve travel oem cam .390 lift - the A2 is .450 lift - the top valve spring retainer will hit the guide with the 450 lift cam
