and that shovel engine loves this spark plug - bosch platinum 4022 gapped at .035
Cool beans. I’ll give the turbulator a go and the bosch plugs. Running champions currently. Many thanks to everyone’s help and advice on this journey.

Went to torque the front axle nut to 50ft/lb per the Clymer's manual. Axle starts to pull through the hub before it gets anywhere near 50 ft/lb. Put a large punch in the hole on the right side and torqued to 20 ft/lb and could not remove the punch. I'd appreciate any advice so I can get on the road.

Back off the nut. Loosen the axle nuts on the right side. Use a hammner and drift to tap on the end of the axle (nut side) and the axle should move to free up the punch.

your spacing in incorrect as it should bottom on the spacers way before the punch hits the fork leg
