Is that a crack running down the case?

That's what I thought when I pulled the cover but after close inspection it appears to be the result of some flaw in the casting mold or something. Its not OEM

I debated for a while what the hell you were talking about... safety wire or springs. I selected springs. Still working on the 30 pack and brain cell reference

a bit of over analyzation - most learn how to fix a bike in a bar knocking them back - then you get to fix what happen and what they did

I broke the top of the solenoid when I had everything about buttoned back up. Can I replace this without removing the primary?

Unhook the wires and then two bolts holds the Solenoid to the Primary. Rebuild the Solenoid or Replace it.

I was wanting to know if the outer primary case needs to come off before I order a box of primary gaskets. The manual says yes but....

Just the way I said it. No need to remove outer primary.

Well I got everything put back together today and the solenoid just clicks when I hit the stater button, battery is good but put it on charger anyway. This all started with my clutch problem and I can say that I have doubts if the problem is solved as I can't push the bike when in 1st gear with the clutch pulled. I set everything up by the book also.
