hello everyone
here are a few images my friend Mike D. shared with me from instagram page he is fallowing from Japan . . . notice the wrong fender struts, mixed painted parts & after market exhaust . . .


these images were taken from instagram posts . . .


Mike & i think there is some one in Japan that seems to collect images of FXDG's like i do . . .


. . . this may be a image of an FXDG that ive posted before, i recognise the cell phone mount on the handlebars ,& mixed painted parts !

heres an update from my friend Mike D.s FXDG restoration, he's got the electrics all sorted out & buttoned up,


Mike's moving right along, he says oil lines are still left to do along with fluids & exhaust, he hopes to fire it up soon !

Hi Y'all
heres my friend Mike's FXDG restoration project up date, as you can see mike has installed the braided oil lines, mounted his new covered leather seat , & put on the OEM air cleaner, last will be the exhaust, reproduction sissy bar & handle bar pouches, Mike has done an outstanding job so far, he hopes to fire it up in the next couple of days !


she's almost ready to fire ! way to go Mike !

hi y'all , hope your enjoying the weekend,
here is my friend Mike's D.G. just about finished, he still has to do some fine tuning & adjusting, but has ridden it around the block & is very satisfied how it runs & rides !


Mikes got her just about complete, he still needs to put on his reproduction pouches . . .

& here she is ,off the lift & out side for the first time . . . Mike has taken her around the block & is happy how she rides & shifts through the gears ! great job Mike she looks stunning ! congratulations on a job well done !!

I hope he checked his breather valve and replaced the standard plastic one with a metal one ?

just because your FXDG had an issue dose not mean they all have a problem a problem with the breather, my 1983 FXWG still has its original breather . . .


my OEM plastic breather gear has ben in the whole life of my FXWG Wide Glide ! ( yes i did notice the plastic washer ) & made sure it was put in place before putting on cam cover !

True but if I was staring at it like you were I would pull it out and throw it as far away from me as possible. Otherwise my luck it would fail the following week after I gave it a clean bill of health.

hi every one hope you are doing alright !
here is my friend Mike's FXDG out for its first 20 mile test ride ! he took this photo late last week, i am a little slow posting this ! Mike says that there where some small adjustments , but is over all very happy with the out come of his build ! Mike hopes to get some ridding in this week before the season is over, Mike also say its an enjoyable & fun bike to ride ! congratulations Mike job well done !

howdy ya'll
hope your enjoying your weekend ! heres an other search post, this comes from Randy Yearton Jr. he sold this DG back in 1999 & it went to Deklab IL ,we don't have Vin # so were hopping to go by these last photos that Randy had , any leads or info on this DG would be greatly welcomed !

this one just sold at an Estate sale in Freeland Michigan for 12750.00 $ it was reported to have just over 4700 miles . . .


looks pretty original, just wind screen, seat & bags non OEM . . .


the pouches for the front & rear were not on hand for the auction !
