Never found a block, but I have determined power is getting to the back of the tail light...might end up being simply a bad socket.

Funky sockets are common on the old 1157 bulbs and that taillight housing, think I've had to play dick around with every pre 76 come through.

Found the wire had broken when I made a new connection at the light. The pressure switch not operating prevented me from catching it the first go around...all good now.

When I got my '76 it had 2 "LT " stands. these consist of 3 pieces of 1/2 " OD steel pipe each 6' long for each side.. Weld 2 of them to form an L shape, then weld the third piece to form a T to the other end. The long part of the L inserts into the lower frame cross bar behind the trans. and the top of the T sits on the floor .Insert the right hand one FIRST, then lift the bike from the left side and insert the other. This apparatus will lift the rear wheel about 3 inches off the floor With your style of exhaust, you may need to remove the mufflers.
