Looks like a nice project you have going there. Looks as tho the paint on the tanks and fenders will clean up nicely.
How are the brake pads and brake lines?
Brakes are all there but haven't yet looked close
The paint I'm sure will clean up to a nice survivor look the worst is a golf ball size dent that occurred when the rope that hung the tanks from a ceiling rotted away and the tank nosed dived to the floor such a bummer wha . Inside of tanks are pristine perfect not a speck of rust
Sitting still that long the swing arm bearing races are dented from no movement - pull it and swap out new ones will save the the scare in that corner when they jump in and out of the ditches in the races - use like a Lucas red grease
preload it if not they rear wheel steer a bit
Yup I'll get to that for sure I'm sure there dry and stuck the wheels don't roll smooth at all its all coming apart before I ride it.
A friend of mine had RWL Dunlop's on his bike about 7-8 years ago. He couldn't find any replacements at the time and was told the Dunlop had discontinued that tire. I know that I have not seen any in years.
some one will sell you 10 year old tires they might have for a show bike - but riding those is a huge mistake
I get it no way I'm going to run old tires new is my goal and I see them in pics but can't find them for sale . I have Bridgestone BT45's on another smaller bike the BT45 are a nice sport kind of tire that works well with my style of riding.
