Does increasing the length of the slot in the handlebar allow the throttle to open further to allow my A/M carb to fully open? Would I have to increase the spiral as well? Looks like I am only getting perhaps 80% throttle opening presently and really want to keep original bars with the internal. Thanks
The carb is a super E and it seems that the pull from the slider in the bar is less than what the butterfly requires for full bore. All of the components in the bars are working quite well just short of overall "throw" so to speak
I am running an internal throttle (stock) with a S&S Super E on my 1970. Cable itself is custom. I have no issue with the amount of travel. I am wondering if you are having a different issue?
I think that I am losing some action in a couple of different spots maybe in flex of the softer wire core. But it doesn't sound like altering the slot is an option. Bike may last longer that way! Thanks for the advice
